Pakistan defeated World No.1 Test team South Africa by 7 wickets inside four days in the opening Test at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. South Africa resuming Day 4 at 72 for 4 with a deficit of 121 runs to clear made sure that Pakistan batted for a second time.

Pakistan are eyeing a victory on Day 4 in the First Test at Abhu Dhabi after South Africa had slipped to 72 for 4 in their second innings. This was after the Proteas had conceded a sizeable first innings lead of 193 runs.

Pakistan have grabbed the initiative in the opening Test following a solid batting performance on Day 2 to move into a first innings lead. Having bowled out the Proteas for a modest total of 249, Pakistan are sitting pretty at 263 for 3.

Pakistan grabbed the honours on Day 1 of the 1st Test against the Proteas at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Hashim Amla scored a 20th Test hundred but Pakistan remained on top restricting South Africa to 245 for 8.
